Code Green Networks Announces Immediate Availability of Content Connectors for its Content Inspection Appliance at the Gartner IT Security Summit

Enterprises and Government Agencies Can Now Fingerprint Sensitive Information and Protect Against Unauthorized Disclosure

GARTNER IT Security Summit, Washington, D.C., June 5, 2006 – Code Green Networks, a leader in the identification and protection of enterprise content, today announced the general availability of Code Green Networks Content Connectors™, which tightly integrate the Code Green Networks Content Inspection (CI) Appliance™ with leading Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems. Initially supporting both Stellent and EMC Documentum, Code Green Networks Content Connectors scan repositories to fingerprint confidential content and metadata using Code Green Networks’ exclusive Deep Content Fingerprinting™ capability.

Code Green Networks enables enterprises to effectively protect content stored in ECM and file systems against unauthorized disclosure via the Internet – helping businesses and government agencies avoid leakage of sensitive content, improve business processes, and thwart malicious intent to send information outside the enterprise network. The Code Green Networks Content Connectors automatically scan repositories and identify confidential content based on the standard query language and metadata provided by ECM platforms. The Content Inspection Appliance inspects content traffic at the Internet gateway and provides a last line of defense that complements ECM security capabilities.

“Content monitoring and filtering is a relatively new market that addresses the problem of sensitive data crossing the enterprise network boundary through multiple channels and protocols,” said Rich Mogull, vice president of research, Gartner. “This is a rapidly expanding segment as more solution providers strive to enable enterprises and governments to identify best practices to protect sensitive information.”

By connecting the Code Green Networks Content Inspection Appliance to ECM interfaces and platforms, business and government organizations can register and protect fingerprinted content in more than 390 file formats, including Microsoft Word™, Adobe PDF™, and CAD drawings. The CI Appliance and Content Connectors protect information written in English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, German, Russian, and Arabic and sent over any TCP-based protocol such as email, web, Instant Messaging or FTP.

“The Code Green Networks Content Connector for Stellent gives Stellent customers an additional layer of security for their sensitive information when it is checked out of Stellent Universal Content Management™,” said Dan Ryan, chief operating officer for Stellent. “With this connector, Stellent customers can now fingerprint and retrieve files to mitigate the risk of inappropriate disclosure.”

The Code Green Networks Content Connector technology is also optimized for other content and document management systems. The Code Green Networks Content Connector for EMC Documentum seamlessly integrates with the Documentum Content Server to provide a comprehensive solution for protecting an organization’s digital assets from unauthorized leaks once the data leaves the Documentum repository.

“Companies investing in ECM solutions want the assurance that their most sensitive content is protected with monitoring and filtering to limit information leaks,” said Sreekanth Ravi, co-founder, chairman, president, and CEO of Code Green Networks. “Code Green Networks makes it as simple as possible for enterprises and government agencies to quickly deploy rich content monitoring and filtering that is compatible with whatever ECM solution they use.”
