Code Green Networks Releases Next Generation Content Protection Appliance to Reduce Risk of Unauthorized Information Disclosure

Enables Corporations and Government Agencies to Protect Sensitive Content Stored in Any Language, in Any Format, Across All Leakage Points

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – April 4, 2006 – Code Green Networks, a leader in the identification and protection of enterprise content, today announced the release of its next generation content protection solution to mitigate the risk of unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information. The Code Green Networks Content Inspection (CI) Appliance™ protects all content from all sources, including content management systems, and across all potential leakage points by utilizing Deep Content Fingerprinting™. Additionally, the new appliance protects sensitive information in all languages, including English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, German, Russian and Arabic.

“Fuji Xerox requires a solution that precisely inspects and monitors the flow of sensitive content in multiple document formats and protocols,” said Hiro Satoh, senior manager for Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd., Network and Server Solutions. “In addition to its other advanced capabilities, we chose Code Green Networks because the appliance provides multi-lingual support, including extended character sets. This feature has attractive appeal, especially for large, multi-national enterprises.”

The Code Green Networks solution sets a new standard for protecting content compared with first generation products that focus on securing “structured” customer data and which operate only in English. Code Green Networks delivers enterprise-class content protection prepackaged in an appliance that is easily deployed within one hour and adds no burden to an organization’s IT infrastructure. The reliable and scalable solution rapidly detects and prevents leaks of structured and “unstructured” content such as internal memos, customer lists, contracts, CAD drawings, financial documents, source code, product plans, and other confidential information.

“As a public agency, we are strictly mandated to protect the integrity of the sensitive information we collect,” said Joe Bertolone, chief of the Nevada Gaming Control Board’s Technology Division. “We have put the Code Green Networks solution through its paces and see true value in its ability to monitor and inspect our content and outbound traffic flows.”

“Every organization faces increasing challenges to protect the vast amounts of confidential information accumulating every day,” said Mike Alsup, president of Gimmal Group, a Houston-based information technology consulting company. “The Code Green Networks solution enables Fortune 1000 enterprises to protect themselves against inappropriate disclosure that might trigger compliance incidents, financial losses and brand damage.”

The Code Green Networks Advantage

At the heart of the Code Green Networks solution is the CI appliance, an integrated and self-contained system consisting of hardware and software packaged in a rack-mounted form factor. The appliance sits at the network egress point to monitor all content flows. A role-based web interface enables users to easily define protection policies and to reliably and accurately detect movement of sensitive content.

“Customer data is just the tip of the information loss iceberg,” said Sreekanth Ravi, co-founder, chairman, president and CEO of Code Green Networks. “The greater risk is that proprietary business information and intellectual property – the lifeblood of every organization – is being leaked outside the corporate or government agency network.”

Shipping immediately, the Code Green Networks CI appliance is based on patent-pending Deep Content Fingerprinting technology, which detects and protects confidential content, as well as subsets of the original content that may have been incorporated into other files. For example, even a paragraph that an employee copies from a sensitive memo into an email will be detected. Additionally, Deep Content Fingerprinting can register and protect information in over 390 file formats.

The appliance monitors and analyzes content flows and detects transmissions of sensitive information over any TCP-based protocol; including email, Web traffic, Instant Messaging (IM), FTP, or peer-to-peer file sharing.
